It's great to be back!

It's great to be back in the hills after lockdown. On Saturday 18th July 5 socially distanced DHC members (Chris, Gillie, Alan, Moira and Tim) were very pleased to have an outing from Corgarff to climb the corbett Carn Ealasaid (792m).

There was a cool wind but extremely clear conditions with fantastic 360 degree views from the summit of the cairngorms and aberdeenshire.

After summiting the corbett we continued west along the boundary line over Tom Buirich (693m) to reach Craig Veann (711m) before descending to the southeast on heathery slopes.

We crossed a very small River Don to join the estate track heading east to Cock Bridge. Total distance 20 km and ascent 620 metres. An excellent first day out which certainly challenged the legs after a long time away.
