We were down to only three members for this outing, Chris, Roddy and Bill, staying in the Glencoe Youth Hostel. It’s been quite a few years since I last stayed here but it’s a great hostel (or maybe that’s just due to the welcome contrast with the Ariundle hostel in Strontian from two weeks earlier! – see last blog), an excellent location for many hills and just down the road from the famous Clachaig Inn. There were five on the DHC weekend to the Ardgour peninsula; Ken, Chris, Graham N, Steve and Ruth. Accommodation was in the Ariundle Centre, which is ideally located for accessing the many hills in the area. The centre also has a bar, restaurant & tea room, but strangely no dedicated drying room. Graham climbed Garbh Bheinn on the Friday, the finest and most precipitous mountain in Ardgour. On Saturday, Ken, Chris and Graham climbed the Corbetts, Fuar Bheinn and Creach Bhein
