Invercauld day trip

Jane, Bob, Eileen, Iain, Ali and Angelika + 3 dogs set off walking from Keiloch at 8.30am, determined to enjoy a walk before the high winds and incessant rain set in. And we did!

Setting off across Invercauld Bridge

We ascended gently through the gorgeous autumn colours of the Ballochbuie forest and on to the top of Creag nan Leachda.

Then WNW across to Millstone Cairn and finally down and up to Carn an Sgliat before descending to the forest around the edge of Creag Coinnich.

Picnic Time

A perfect 4 hour outing! We sent the drivers back to Keiloch for the cars and the others walked through the forest to an opening on to the road to await our lift to the cafe in Braemar.
