Gannoch Day Walk

Seven of us plus Dylan ventured out in high winds on Saturday 8th February - Tim, Gordon, Alan, Ali, Robert, myself and a newbie - Tracey!

We met at the church at the end of the Birse Castle road and set off to conquer Tampie, Hill of Cat and Gannoch. We found a slight dip to shelter in for a quick coffee on the way up to the top and made good time to Tampie. However once we were up on the exposed hillside the very strong wind meant that we decided to abandon Hill of Cat and headed straight to Gannoch and down again to the valley and less wind! We had great views and visibility was excellent.

The high wind chill factor meant only one photo!
